The coherent state of water
Water as the medium and the message
Water is more than what it appears to be
H2O is the most abundant molecule on the surface of the Earth – and probably the most misunderstood. The free-flowing water found outside living matter (also called bulk water) exists in one of the three well-known physical states: the solid ice, the liquid water and the gaseous steam. In recent years, however, the fourth state of water has entered the discussion. A structured, gel-like state of water has been found inside living matter, such as around biological membranes, giving us a fresh perspective on the true functional role of water in living beings.
One of the first scientists proposing the concept of a biologically-relevant state of water was the Italian physicist Emilio Del Giudice. As part of the general theory of quantum electrodynamics, he described the coherent state of water and emphasized its essential role in sending information through biological matter.
Dancing to its own beat
When the basic units of matter (atoms) are combined, they form molecules. According to Del Giudice’s theory, atoms and molecules are able to assume different configurations in space, and between one configuration and the next, the behavior of the particles within it can change dramatically. How does this happen?
Quantum particles (such as water molecules) undergo constant quantum fluctuations – spontaneously shifting between low and high energy states. In doing so, they produce their own electromagnetic fields. At a certain density and temperature, this group of molecules will start coupling to its self-produced electromagnetic field via their intrinsic electric charges and magnetic moments. As the particles and their electromagnetic fields couple together in a coherent whole, the molecules start oscillating in phase (at the same frequency). The energy of the field is self-trapped and can no longer be dissipated outwards. This harmonious, self-synchronized configuration of water molecules is called the coherent state of water.
We are 99% water - and that counts for something
The importance of the coherent state of water becomes most evident when we look at it within the context of living beings. According the theory, when water comes near biological surfaces, it will most likely enter a coherent state. This ordered configuration then allows it to serve as a medium for relaying relevant information between the cells, tissues and organs of our body.
This pivotal role is best illustrated by the fact that 99% of molecules in the human body are water. Like bubble-wrap, water surrounds all major biomolecules, easily fitting into tight crevices of long chain-like molecules like DNA and proteins. In this dense coupling of water and biological matter, water is said to share its coherent oscillations with the biological interstices it surrounds and, through this shared resonance, fundamentally affect their biological activity.
“ Water is life's matter and matrix,
mother and medium.
There is no life without water. “

The effects on biology
While the fundamental aspects of coherent water are still under study, we have made major strides in demonstrating the positive effects of Aǹalemma water on living beings. From increased mitochondrial output, positive effects on the gut microbiome, a boost in anti-inflammatory activity of the human immune system and improved vitality of plants and soil, our scientific studies showcase the incredible benefits of coherent water for humans and their immediate environment.
